OKLAHOMA CITY – Police are looking for three suspects following an overnight armed robbery and shooting at a northeast Oklahoma City hotel.
Officials say the incident happened at the Budget Lodge near NE 122nd and I-35 just after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
According to a police report, an employee had just returned to the lobby from doing laundry. She “locked the door behind her and folded the towels,” and then walked back behind the counter where she saw several people outside the locked door.
The employee “tried to get them to come to the window,” but they did not, and that’s when the employee said she heard what she thought was gunshots and the glass door shattered.
She then dropped to the floor and covered her head when one of the three suspects grabbed her by her hair and coat and started “dragging her around.”
The suspects then began yelling at her and asked where the money was. As the employee pointed to a drawer where the money is kept, a manager came out of the backroom and was shot.
After he was shot, the suspects took her purse and cell phone and then fled the scene.
The first suspect is described as a black male wearing a black hooded jacket with the words “Hurricane Swag” on the back, along with gloves, black pants with a blue strip down both legs and red shoes. The suspect was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
The second suspect is described as a black male wearing a black stocking mask, black jacket, gloves, black pants and black shoes. He was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
Police described the third suspect as a black male wearing a black hooded jacket, gloves, blue jeans and white shoes. He was armed with a gray or silver handgun.
