Russian companies are interested in cooperating with Azerbaijan in a number of areas, trade representative of Russia in Azerbaijan Eldar Tlyabichev told Trend.
It is expected that several Russian trade missions will visit Azerbaijan, he added.
"In the next two months, we expect arrival of trade missions of the enterprises of Altai Krai, Astrakhan oblast, Krasnodar Krai, interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of food industry and agriculture, as well as enterprises of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Omsk region, Sverdlovsk region interested in the development of cooperation relations in the field of heavy industry and petroleum engineering," Tlyabichev said.
We would like to note that according to the data of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, bilateral trade turnover between the countries amounted to $497.60 million in 1Q2018.
During the period of cooperation, Russian investments in Azerbaijan's economy exceeded $3.7 billion. Entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan have invested more than $1 billion in Russian economy.
