I swear by this simple Apple gadget that takes the stress out of lost luggage
Using this simple tracker will make travel stress-free as you'll always know where your luggage is
You’ve made it to the airport, you’ve remembered your passport and you’re off on holiday. There are plenty of stressful parts to travel, but nothing quite matches the anxiety you might feel when you lose your luggage.
I travel regularly and being able to check where my luggage is takes the anxiety out of the experience. It’s simple to do too, thanks to trackers like the Apple AirTag. Best of all, the Apple AirTag is discounted to £28 on Very, saving you £9 off the price.
The Apple AirTag works with the iPhone, making it possible to track the location of your bag. Just slip an AirTag inside, and you’ll be able to locate it, whether it’s in the baggage hall, or still in the airport you came from.

The downside of the AirTag is that it only works with iPhone, so if your partner has an Android phone, they won't be able to detect it for you. The AirTag is a little more expensive than some rivals, which is why discounts like this are worth snapping up.
However, you can use other brands with the iPhone and one cheaper option is the Eufy SmartTrack which is £20 on Amazon, although this doesn't have the same advanced tracking that Apple offers. Alternatively, if you use a Samsung phone, the £34 Galaxy SmartTag is a great alternative, with a handy loop for attachment on the top and just as good for helping you find lost luggage.
While using a Bluetooth tracker won’t stop your luggage getting lost, at least you’ll know where your bag is. It might be that you’re anxiously waiting for it to arrive, but if you can at least see it’s in the same airport as you, you’ll know it’s on its way.
Alternatively, if you find that it’s still sitting in Bristol Airport while you’re in Tenerife, at least you’ll know you'll need to grabs some spares until the airline delivers your bag. If your suitcase has fallen off a baggage cart while being moved from the aircraft to the terminal, you'll be able to find it and tell airport staff to get you reunited with your precious luggage.

The Apple AirTag is a Bluetooth tracker that will let you find and locate your lost possessions using your iPhone or iPad.
The Apple AirTag works with iPhone models that run iOS 14.5 or later (so as old as the iPhone 6S) and the magic behind this system is that any iPhone can detect an AirTag and provide an update on the location through Apple’s Find My system.
The iPhone that detects your AirTag won’t know that it has detected it, it’s just an anonymous system to alert the owner to where that AirTag was found.
If you have an iPhone 11 or newer, you’ll be able to use something called Precision Finding, where your phone will guide you to exactly where your AirTag is, with a handy arrow on the screen.
AirTags don’t have to be limited to use in luggage: they are great for your keys, handbag, camera bag or anything else that you want to keep track of. The battery last for a year and then is cheap to replace, while they are also water resistant, so it doesn’t matter if they get wet.
Because there are so many iPhone users across the world, Apple’s Find My system that locates AirTags is one of the largest Bluetooth tracking systems in the world, with hundreds of millions of Apple devices able to help you find your lost luggage.
If you’re not an iPhone user then you can’t use Apple’s AirTags, but there are alternative Bluetooth tracker systems. One of the biggest is Tile, which works with both iPhone and Android phones. Tile is widely available, comes in a range of different styles. The Tile Pro – currently £34.99 on Amazon – is the closest match to the Apple AirTag.
