‘Everything Is Gone’: Tennessee Woman Surveys Destruction Following Tornado

A woman in Selmer, Tennessee, captured the destruction in her town on Thursday, April 3, after a powerful tornado tore through. Footage from Nikki Bragg shows buildings on Court Avenue destroyed during the storm. “Everything is gone,” Bragg says in the footage, pointing out buildings that were no longer standing. Bragg said she stayed in a shelter with her children as the tornado hit, and anticipated her home would be destroyed in the morning. “I was fully prepared in my mind that I would be okay if I had to start over,” Bragg said. “I cried the hardest happiest tears ever when I turned the corner to see my home perfectly like I left it.” According to local news reports, at least four people died in McNairy County, where Selmer is located.
