More Kentucky schools cancel classes after second day of storms

Ky. (WKYT) - More school districts across the Commonwealth have canceled classes on Friday after severe weather.
Students at Montgomery County Schools woke up to an early start to spring break, as the district canceled classes around 5 a.m. Childcare will be available at Mapleton Elementary from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for those currently enrolled.
Just before 6 a.m., Berea Independent Schools announced its students will also have an early start to spring break.
The Bourbon County School District announced around 5 a.m. that it would be using an NTI Day on Friday, which will serve as its eighth of the year. The district says daycare services will remain open.
Harrison County Schools opted to cancel classes due to flooding and a flash flood warning in the area, which they say put several roads underwater.
Jessamine County Schools also called off classes due to area flooding. Childcare will be available from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for those preregistered.
Madison County Schools announced on Facebook that it will use a traditional weather day due to heavy rain on roadways. The decision came around 5:45 a.m.
