WEST VIRGINIA (WCHS) — A flood warning has been issued for multiple counties in West Virginia and Ohio through Thursday evening.
The warning, issued by the National Weather Service, covers parts of Cabell, Jackson, Mason, Putnam, Ritchie, Roane, Wirt and Wood counties in West Virginia, and Gallia, Jackson, Meigs counties in Ohio through 8:15 p.m.
Officials expect more rain throughout the evening that could lead to more flooding. The National Weather Service said up to two more inches of rain could fall Thursday evening.
A flood warning is in effect through Sunday for many of the counties in the area.
