Proposed legislative bill would eliminate four-day school week in Arkansas

Superintendents, teachers, students speak in favor of 4-day schedule

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS -- If a House bill filed recently is passed by the legislature and signed by the governor, several Northwest Arkansas school districts would have to drop their four-day school week and change back to a five-day school week for the 2026-27 school year.
