PHOENIX (AZFamily)— Arizona Gives Day is April 1, and around 800 nonprofits across the state are participating this year. The annual program encourages donations to various charities, and that’s Something Good.

In March, AZ Impact for Good announced its updated website to help with giving. Residents can visit AZGives.org to make a donation.

“As funding goes down, the need for services goes up,” said Michael Morefield, Director of Marketing and Communications for AZ Impact For Good, which runs Arizona Gives Day.

He adds that the funds raised will help the nonprofits impact the community. “What I like to say is there’s no part of your life that’s not affected by a nonprofit. Everything around you has the hands of a nonprofit that’s making your Arizona better,” said Morefield.

Last year, Arizona Gives Day raised more than $5 million for nonprofits across the state, and the annual day of giving has raised over $47 million over the past decade.
