Five Costco employees in Arizona injured after smoothie machine malfunctions

MARANA, Ariz. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Fire officials say several people were taken to a hospital after an incident inside a Southern Arizona Costco.

A smoothie machine malfunctioned at a Costco in Marana, which led to five people being taken to the hospital, the Northwest Fire Department confirmed.

The five victims were all Costco employees, and they had respiratory complaints from the incident.

According to an NBC affiliate in the Tucson area, the situation at the Costco in Marana was under control.
