Coach’s Quotes
Head coach Steve Denton on the bounce back from Friday’s loss…
“I thought our energy today was really good. We were positive as a team, and that translated in the doubles which got us off to a good start. I was happy with the guy’s performance as they bounced back from the disappointment on Friday night to play well today.”
Denton on the today’s doubles point…
“I thought Tiago was good today in doubles. He and Alan meshed well together to help us win the doubles at two. Togan and Theo were really solid and played good fundamental doubles out there. Getting the doubles point after losing it the other night was a huge boost to us.”
Denton on what he saw today in singles…
“The key for the match today was we had a lot of late first sets, and we were able to come out on top by playing some good tennis in the back end of the set. That kept the momentum on our side and play well in second sets and win. Friday we couldn’t close out, but today we were able to stay ahead the whole time to finish the sets out. That was the difference today.”
