The OKC Thunder shrugged off an inefficient start to storm to a 132-111 win over the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the home team with 33 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and one steal. Jalen Williams and Lu Dort combined for 40 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Oklahoma swept the season series after beating Indiana 120-114 in December.

The Pacers' well-rounded attack kept them in the game before the Thunder's top-ranked defense suffocated them. Indiana trailed 61-49 at halftime and never recovered. Two days after erupting for 162 points, the Pacers could muster 111 in the loss to OKC.

Tyrese Haliburton finished the game with 18 points, four rebounds and three assists. Every Pacer starter reached double-digit scoring except for Aaron Nesmith, who tallied 17 points.

Indiana Pacers vs OKC Thunder Game Summary

The Indiana Pacers visited the league-leading OKC Thunder on Saturday. Indiana, which lost 120-114 in the first encounter in December, hoped to avenge the loss against the best defensive team in the NBA.

The Pacers kept up with the Thunder 29-27 by being ultra-aggressive from behind the arc. They went 6-for-15 from deep to counter OKC’s efficient 4-for-6 shooting from the same range. Tyrese Haliburton led the charge for the visiting team with nine points, all from 3-pointers.

The Thunder bounced back by shutting down Haliburton in the second quarter. They held Indiana to 0-for-5 shooting from deep and forced four turnovers. Behind a balanced offensive attack, they took a 61-49 halftime lead.

Oklahoma's highly-touted defense continued to suffocate Indiana in the third quarter. The Thunder offense erupted for 41 points to push their lead to 102-80 entering the fourth quarter. OKC shot 5-for-8 from deep in the period, a key reason for their dominance.

The Thunder kept pounding the Pacers in the final quarter. OKC coach Mark Daigneault sent in his second-stringers with still five minutes remaining to complete the job. Oklahoma cruised to a 132-111 win.
