PORTALES, N.M. (KFDA) - The Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds won both games of their doubleheader on Saturday, scoring 15 runs total in both games.

The Greyhounds got on the board first in the first game of the day in the bottom of the third with three runs, and finished out the game with four runs a piece in both the fifth and sixth innings.

They had 11 runs off of 10 hits at the end of the game. They got the win, 11-6.

The second game of the day was much closer, but Willie Ponce’s RBI single that scored Kyle Kiernan gave the Greyhounds their lead in the bottom of the seventh to walk the game off.

Going into the bottom of the seventh, ENMU was down three runs, with their only recorded run thus far coming from a solo shot from Kyle Kiernan in the third frame. The Greyhounds ended the game up 4-3.
