TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The University of Arizona hosted its second annual Museum Day on Saturday.
On march 29, The UofA hosted its second Museum Day, offering Tucsonans a chance to explore art, science, and the humanities across campus.
During the event, twelve different sites offered free or reduced admission to encourage the community to discover diverse educational offerings.
Participants had the chance to visit notable locations such as the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research, the award-winning Poetry Center, and the Worlds of Words Center.
The event featured a wide range of museums, including the African American Museum of Southern Arizona, Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium, and the University of Arizona Museum of Art.
U of A Museum Day aimed to connect faculty, staff, and students with Tucsonans interested in broadening their horizons.
"This event invites the community to explore the diverse and fascinating world of museums and collections at the University of Arizona," a press release stated.
