READING, Pa. - Christian Sarlo scored a pair of goals to lead Maine past the Royals 5-2 on Saturday at Santander Arena.
Sam Sedley scored late in the first period to pull Reading even at 1-1 but the Mariners scored twice in the second to take a lead they would not relinquish.
Mason Primeau also scored for the Royals who will host Maine in the rubber match of the series on Sunday.
