Fundraiser hosted at the Doxx Warehouse Bar to raise money for Missouri River Boat Club
SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The Missouri River Boat Club began their biggest fundraiser of the year Saturday afternoon, and it would continue into the early morning hours of Sunday morning.
The Doxx Warehouse Bar in downtown Sioux City is the host site for the Missouri River Boat Club’s annual Dry Dock Fundraiser.
For a $55 entry fee, attendees were treated live music, and a catered dinner; and from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., they held an open bar with unlimited canned beers and seltzers.
The Missouri River Boat Club set a goal to bring in around $20,000 from the event.
“It’s our annual fundraiser to help raise money for the flooding that we’ve incurred, and also the docks that have been lost and things of that nature. It also helps out with our funds and our needs throughout the year; whether that be new pavement or rocks in the parking lot,” said Charlotte Nelsen, a volunteer for the Missouri River Boat Club.
