HE TELLS ME HE WANTS TO BE A BIOLOGY TECHNICIAN WHEN HIS PLAYING CAREER IS OVER. BUT THAT IS NOT ANYTIME SOON. JESSE IS JUST FINISHING HIS FIRST PROFESSIONAL SEASON. THE DUTCH CENTER SAYS HE MOVED FROM AMSTERDAM TO THE U.S. FOR BASKETBALL. HE PLAYED FOUR YEARS WITH SYRACUSE, THEN TRANSFERRED TO WEST VIRGINIA FOR HIS FIFTH YEAR. JESSE IS ONE OF THE VERY FEW TWO WAY PLAYERS WITH MINNESOTA, GETTING HIS BIG LEAGUE DEBUT EARLIER THIS MONTH. WITH IOWA, HE’S AVERAGED 11 POINTS, EIGHT REBOUNDS AND A STEAL PER GAME. JESSE IS GOOD WITH HIS HANDS ON AND OFF THE COURT. I LIKE PLAY SOME OF THE PIANO MYSELF, SO WHENEVER I HAVE SOME TIME AND WANT TO RELAX, I DO THAT.       Iowa Wolves 7-foot center Jesse Edwards is wrapping up his first professional season.The Iowa Wolves play the South Bay Lakers at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Dutch native said he moved from Amsterdam to the United States for basketball.Edwards played at Syracuse for four years, then transferred to West Virginia for his final season. He is one of three two-way players with Minnesota. He debuted with the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 2, 2025. With Iowa, he's averaged 11 points, eight rebounds, and a steal per game.
