DOING WHAT THEY CAN TO MAKE THE MOST OF IT. IF YOU FOLLOW THE PAW PRINTS THERE, THE DOG MIGHT TAKE YOU TO THE KING RESIDENCE IN CENTER HARBOR, WHERE DAD IS PLOWING AND KIDS ARE PLAYING. THE FIVE INCHES OF FRESH SNOW PROVIDES A NICE CUSHION FOR EMERY AND BRIDGER KING, WHO ARE MAKING THE MOST OF THE EXTENDED WINTER. SOMEHOW THEY MANAGE TO GET UP THERE. CLINTON KING SAYS HE WAS ENJOYING THE WARMER WEATHER, HIKING, FAMILY AND GETTING THE LAWN PUT BACK TOGETHER. KING SAYS THE SPRING SNOWFALL ISN’T SURPRISING, BUT STILL A LITTLE ANNOYING TO START OVER. YEAH, MORE SNOW BLOWING. SICK OF IT. THE SNOW IN LATE MARCH. ICICLES COME AS A HARSH REMINDER. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE UNPREDICTABLE NATURE OF A NEW ENGLAND WINTER. THERE’S LOTS OF FUN TO BE HAD ON LAND, BUT SOME WINTER ACTIVITIES ARE NOT IN THE CARDS. DON’T BE FOOLED BY THE WHITE LAYER ON LAKE PEMIGEWASSET. IT’S MORE SLUSH THAN ICE. THAT SAME SLUSH ADDING TO SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS. D-O-T WORKERS WERE OUT WITH THE PLOWS STARTING AT 3 A.M. THROUGHOUT THE DAY, MANY OF THEM CYCLING THROUGH THE FUEL SITE IN NEW HAMPTON BEFORE HEADING BACK OUT TO CLEAR THE ROADS AGAIN. HOPEFULLY FOR THE LAST TIME THIS SEASON. KING SAYS HE DOESN’T REALLY START ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT SNOW UNTIL MID-APRIL, SO WE STILL HAVE A FEW WEEKS BEFORE PEOPLE START TO WONDER WHY IS WINT
