Oklahoma is known for its offense, but the team flashed its defensive ability in the second round in a 96-62 win over Iowa. The Sooners had six players score in double figures, with Skylar Vann's 17 points leading the way. Every starter recorded at least one steal. Raegan Beers had 11 points, 13 rebounds, two steals, and four blocks as Oklahoma rolled to the win.

UConn sits at 33-3 but missed out on a No. 1 seed largely due to the strength of their schedule, though the team has some big non-conference wins. The team ran all over South Dakota State in the second round, winning 91-57. Paige Bueckers was on fire, scoring 34 points and adding four assists and four steals, while Azzi Fudd had 17 points and two steals.
