It seems that the new Hyundai Creta N Line will face an identity crisis as the SUV does not offer a turbo petrol trim in Thailand. This is quite a contradiction from what the N Line brand stands as the South Korean automobile showcased the non-turbo Creta N Line at the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS). The N Line SUV will enter the Thai market as a CBU product from Indonesia.
Hyundai Creta N Line: N stands for no turbo
This is something that will knock the socks out of Indian Creta buyers as the N Line trim offers a non-turbo powertrain option. The Creta N Line in Thailand will be powered by the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 113 bhp and 114 Nm of torque. This SUV is mated to a CVT automatic transmission. This may be blasphemy as the Creta N Line in India is powered by the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque. It comes with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Hyundai Creta N Line: Design
The made-in-Indonesia Creta N Line shares the same design elements as the model we get in India. It has a split front fascia design with connected L-shaped LED DRLs with twin square-shaped LED headlights, an all-black grille and a dual-tone front bumper in a silver colour finish with a faux skid plate.
Hyundai has showcased a dual-coloured black and red Creta, a combination which is not available in India yet. It sports 18-inch black and silver finish alloy wheels and blacked out elements like the A-B-and-C pillars and the outside rearview mirrors. The rear gets a thick connected LED band and a roof spoiler.
Hyundai Creta N Line: Features
The Creta N Line is equipped with a twin 10.25-inch display — one for the infotainment system and the other as a digital instrument cluster. It gets a dual-zone climate control with physical buttons, leather-wrapped steering wheel and leather upholstery, front ventilated seats, a wireless phone charger and an 8-speaker Bose music system.
The Creta N Line is packed with safety features like six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, an electric parking brake with auto hold, hill start assist control, a 360-degree camera, a blindspot monitor and a Level 2 ADAS suite.
