According to Adura, Fabiyi’s misleading assertions have significantly damaged his reputation and continue to fuel public misconceptions about his alleged involvement in fraudulent activities.

The controversy surrounding the late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has taken a new turn as his brother, Adura Aloba, has officially petitioned the Lagos State Police Command against Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, and an Instagram user identified as Michael (@Miceemusic) over allegations of defamation, false accusations, and threats to life.

In a formal petition addressed to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adura accused Yomi Fabiyi of persistently spreading false information, inciting public sentiment against him.

He also accused Fabiyi of making defamatory claims concerning Mohbad’s case.

According to Adura, Fabiyi’s misleading assertions have significantly damaged his reputation and continue to fuel public misconceptions about his alleged involvement in fraudulent activities.

Adura clarified that the case against the alleged perpetrator, identified as Mr. Damola, is currently being handled at the Ogba Magistrate Court.

He initially reported the hacking of his TikTok account to the Ogombo Police Command after realising that some of Mohbad’s friends had been scammed through the compromised account.

A disclaimer was posted on his Instagram account to warn the public about the fraudulent activities linked to his hacked profile.

Despite being presented with evidence confirming that Damola was responsible for the fraudulent activities, Fabiyi allegedly continued to mislead the public, insisting that he had been contacted regarding the matter.

He reportedly ignored multiple police invitations and persisted in his public allegations.

Furthermore, Fabiyi allegedly organized a press conference and rallies where he reiterated his false claims, worsening the situation for Adura.

SaharaReporters on Wednesday reported how Abosede Aloba, Mohbad’s mother, made a distressed video, pleading for urgent assistance to rescue Adura from armed men who abducted him.

A family source told SaharaReporters, that Adura was abducted on Wednesday afternoon by unidentified armed men, suspected to be police officers, as he was leaving the Magistrates Court in Ogba, Lagos.

The source revealed that Adura had appeared in court regarding a legal case involving a phone he sold to Damola Ayinde, which led to legal action against actor Yomi Fabiyi, Damola Ayinde, and others.

According to the petition, to substantiate his claims, Adura provided bank transaction records proving the sale of an iPhone 13 to Damola.

The petition indicated that he also provided documentation confirming the hacking of his TikTok account; evidence linking Damola to fraudulent messages sent through the hacked account; official police reports verifying Damola’s arrest for fraudulent activities, and video footage and media records of Fabiyi’s public statements and rallies.

Adura urged the Lagos State Police Command to investigate Fabiyi’s actions, examine any evidence presented by him, and take necessary legal action for defamation, cyber harassment, and public incitement.

In a separate petition, Adura also accused an Instagram user, identified as Michael (@Miceemusic), of issuing threats against his life.

He stated that Michael, a former friend of Mohbad, had been making defamatory remarks and threats following Mohbad’s passing.

According to Adura, Michael allegedly claimed during a TikTok live session that he had visited Mohbad’s residence on the day of his death, a statement Adura described as suspicious.

Since then, Adura said that Michael has reportedly issued direct threats, warning him against releasing Mohbad’s unreleased songs and accusing him of tarnishing his late brother’s legacy.

The threats, which Adura said he documented through screenshots, include statements implying potential harm if he does not comply with Michael’s demands.

Adura called on the Lagos State Police Command to investigate Michael for online harassment, defamation, and threats to his life; summon Michael for questioning regarding his claim of visiting Mohbad’s house on the day of his death; issue a cease-and-desist order to prevent further threats and incitement, and take appropriate legal action to ensure his safety.

Adura expressed confidence in the Lagos State Police Command’s ability to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure justice.

He emphasised that the ongoing defamation and threats have caused him severe emotional and reputational damage and appealed for swift action to prevent further harm.

However, the Lagos State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement regarding the petitions.
