Victim identified in fatal I-80 crash
KCCI News has learned the names of those involved in Monday's deadly crash on I-80 near Altoona.
The Iowa State Patrol says 58-year-old Veleta Boswell of Pennsylvania died when the car she was riding in hit a concrete barrier, and then was hit by a semi-truck.
Simonne Boswell, 27, was driving, she was injured.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The Iowa State Patrol has confirmed one death in a crash between Altoona and the East Mixmaster.
The crash happened around 8:40 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-80. According to Sgt. Nathan Ludwig, a driver lost control for unknown reasons, struck the concrete barrier at the median, then bounced back into traffic, where the vehicle was struck in the passenger side by a semi-truck.
The driver was injured, and was taken to a local hospital. A passenger in the vehicle died at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
Identities have not been released.
At 9:20 a.m., traffic was at a standstill at the East Mixmaster. At 9:40, all lanes of traffic were open and traffic was flowing freely.
