InFocus has launched a new entrant to its M smartphone lineup – InFocus M7s. The InFocus M7s, launched in Taiwan, is the company’s answer to the trend of 18:9 mobile displays. In addition, the InFocus M7s comes with a dual camera setup and a 4000mAh battery as its highlighted features. The smartphone will be available in Taiwan at a price of 4,290 New Taiwan dollar (NT$), which is equivalent to roughly Rs 9,500. The InFocus M7s will come in Obsidian Black and Platinum Light Gold colour variants.
InFocus M7s Specifications
The newly launched InFocus M7s is a dual SIM smartphone that comes preloaded with Android 7.0 Nougat with Smile UX skin on top. The smartphone is powered by a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6737H chipset, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded further via microSD card up to 128GB. The InFocus M7s packs a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) IPS On-Cell display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, and 2.5D curved glass protection.
For photography, the InFocus M7s bears a dual camera setup on the rear, consisting of one 13-megapixel main sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 120-degree 5-megapixel wide-angle secondary sensor. The smartphone has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with a f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone comes with a ‘Bothie’ feature, as seen on Nokia 8, where a single photograph is seamed using both rear and front cameras at the same time.
The InFocus M7s comes with a huge 4000mAh battery under the hood that is rated to deliver a talk time of 20 hours on the 3G network a standby time of 528 hours on 4G network. The smartphone has a fingerprint sensor mounted at the back, which is claimed to unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. The connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, OTG, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack, in addition to 4G VoLTE connectivity. The InFocus M7s measures 152.3×72.4×8.8mm and weighs 148 grams.
